Yarra Energy Foundation is a not-for-profit consultancy providing services to accelerate the energy transition.
We focus on the interests of local communities in the face of a changing climate, who we support through our electrification programs, and community & stakeholder engagement activities. We have expertise in neighbourhood batteries and the role of storage in unlocking a broader renewable grid.
We provide professional services to local governments, state and federal government departments and statutory bodies, network distribution businesses, energy retailers, and customer advocacy organisations, and others.
We also partner with others to deliver community energy projects and programs, helping to install neighbourhood batteries and electrifying homes, among many other energy projects.
Governed by an independent board of directors, Yarra City Council established the foundation as an independent not-for-profit in 2010.
