Presented by the Glen Eira Climate Emergency Action Network (GECAN), this event will explore how you can save money and lower your emissions by swapping out gas appliances for electric ones.
Featuring a talk by comedy legend and climate champion Judith Lucy, and hosted by international performer and GECAN member Peter Vadiveloo, hear how GECAN has partnered with the new Metro Community Power Hub (MCPH) to help you take the next steps towards an ‘all-electric home’.
Learn how the MCPH can connect you with free expert energy consults, vetted suppliers and discounted rooftop solar PV systems. Peter Mercouriou (MCPH Manager, Yarra Energy Foundation) will discuss what’s involved in getting off gas, and the benefits of heat pump hot water systems, induction cooktops and heating/cooling split systems over their gas equivalents.
GECAN is a roundtable partner of the newly-established Metro Community Power Hub.
Yarra Energy Foundation has been awarded funding for the MCPH by Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government through the Community Power Hubs program.
After registering you will receive an order confirmation via email which includes a Zoom link to the session.
